1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the WildFile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that their children comply with these terms.

2. Stay Safe Out There

WildFile is designed to be played outdoors. When playing:

  • Always stay aware of your surroundings.
  • Do not trespass on private property.
  • Do not approach dangerous or wild animals too closely. Respect nature.
  • Do not play while driving or crossing the street.

We are not liable for any injuries, accidents, or property damage that occur while using the application.

3. AI Identification Accuracy

Our AI is pretty smart, but it's not perfect. The species identifications provided by WildFile are for entertainment and educational purposes only. Do not rely on WildFile to determine if a plant, insect, or animal is safe to touch or eat.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the photos you take. By using WildFile, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process these photos to provide the core identification service. You agree not to upload inappropriate, explicit, or illegal content.

5. Our Intellectual Property

While you own your photos, WildFile owns everything else: the app itself, the WildFile brand and logo, the card designs, artwork, game mechanics, Codex structure, badges, and all other content and software that make up the service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the app or its content without our written permission.

6. Purchases and Subscriptions

WildFile may offer optional subscriptions and in-app purchases (for example, unlocking levels beyond the free tier or purchasing additional film). Where offered:

  • All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), not by us. Their payment terms apply.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings at any time.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective refund policies — we are unable to issue refunds directly for purchases made through their stores.
  • Prices will be shown in-app before you confirm any purchase and may change with notice.

7. App Store Terms (EULA)

This agreement is between you and WildFile only — not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content, and have no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for it. To the extent permitted by law, Apple and Google have no warranty or liability obligations of any kind with respect to the app; any claims relating to the app are our responsibility, not theirs. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a relevant government embargo and are not on any restricted-parties list.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, behave abusively, or attempt to exploit or hack the application's systems.
